OZEPOD

Intro:

OZEPOD is a brand new product from two larrakins from north of the border. It started as a place to keep Steve’s beer shaded and grew from there; it was designed by an expert (who happened to study industrial design with one of our staff) and finished as a solar charged pod that could play music for 50 hours with it’s powerful 360 degree speakers, charge two phones, keep two beers cool and among other things it came with a fence mount to put it on your pool fence.

Process:

After a route to market strategy the client decided they really wanted to attract more investment via a crowd funding site – We settled on KickStarter. We worked with the client to put together a strong offering for the product and with a tight timeline we pulled together all the assets that would be needed for the campaign. Kickstarter was to be an uphill climb for the Ozepod two of the main reasons the target was $400,000, the product’s expected target market was 40+ parents, which is not your average KickStarter funder.

What We Did:

Having started with a prototype and a name there was a great deal to create before the campaign was ready to launch Imagery, Content, Branding, Video, Photography, Website, Social Channels, and the Kickstarter campaign page itself. The bad news is that ultimately the pod didn’t receive it’s lofty crowdfunding target… Now for the good news… on a very small budget for social we were able to generate some great interest and clicks for the Ozepod. Across Facebook and Instagram our total reach was 49,000 (paid and organic) in 3 weeks and our top post on Facebook had 298 likes. For a product with brand new social pages the response was great. Also the video we produced was SCHWEEET!
